Would be interested to know if Cheddar ever produced spirit fired boilers please, as I am only aware of gas ones

Thanks

Bonjour,

To my opinion, gas is much more safe, easy to manage and clean than spirit, why would you use spirit ?

Trelawney, all Cheddar boilers were for gas burners, with one exception: the vertical Pipit boiler, which was meant for both gas and solid fuel tablets (to be burned in a tray). I am attaching an old catalogue picture where the Pipit boiler is pictured. It has a rather large opening at the bottom to allow the insertion of a burner tray, but I haven't seen this tray pictured in the catalogues.
