Title: Tow Rope /Mooring Rope

 :-) Please can anyone help me I am trying to find out where to get Tow Rope and Mooring ropes from
The model Tug I will be Building is the
Brackengarth (https://www.mobilemarinemodels.com/brackengarth-55-c.asp) from MMMas far as i can tell she is a 1/32scale model

I have used nylon braided cord from a hardware store.  Size it to fit your scale.


And on this side of The Pond, ropes in service on a boat are called lines- spring line, bow line, tow line...  O0

Search for paracord on ebay from 2mm upwards in a selection of colours  :-))

go down your local material sewing shop. They will have lots of different size cord in there .

I bought an ebay job lot of 'lawn mower pull cord' - white with red flecks. Came in three thicknesses. The thickest two were used as two lines on different scale tugs and the thinnest as bow/stern/spring lines on both. The thinnest wouldn't have started a mower! Only cost a few £. Alas, I seem to have deleted the photos. :(


And Lidl have occasionally had something very similar in the Middle of Lidl aisle.

I bought a random nylon cord from the home store.
I found that if you pull about 30cm of the inner fabric out of the end, it can
then quite easily be spliced and buried back on itself.  :-)
