Title: Little Ships of Dunkirk
Post by: SunnyBob on February 16, 2021, 05:06:06 pm
My Mystery boat recently turned another page when purely by chance I fond an article showing Dunkirk beach during and after the evacuation. My boat,, the Gwen Eagle, was on the beach. :o

From there I discovered the Dunkirk little ships association web site which lists the Gwen Eagle as sunk.

In the list is a boat I have seen here, The Bluebird of Chelsea.
Are there any more famous little ships here? 8)

Could not find Gwen Eagle in my book, found "Green Eagle" which was confirmed as lost at Dunkirk

Scroll down to the G list, Green eagle is a half dozen above Gwen Eagle.

I think you'll find they are pretty much all mine. :D  I've been looking for its history for over a dozen years now. Only found out about the dunkirk connection last month.
