Title: RMS St Helena
Post by: Baldrick on April 03, 2021, 08:51:42 am
After 30 years of servicing the British overseas Territories in the South Atlantic  this fine old ship has been re-purposed as a floating transport and paddock for the Extreme E electric motor racing circus. Seems it was a lot more than a lick of paint .

Only just seen this - I play in a band with a couple of St Helenians who live in Swindon. One of them used to work on this ship.

Robert Wilson was the radio operator. He is a regular on the Model Boats website. I don't think he is on here much.

I think I've exchanged messages with him before about the ship and the island - I'd forgotten that until you mentioned it.
