The 'Posts since your last visit' function at the top of the page has disappeared from my screen - is it just me?

The link only there if you are logged in. My browser automatically deletes all cookies when it is closed so I need to log in each time I visit if I want to see some pictures.

Found it!

There is a small button, top right corner which expands and shrinks the page header. When you expand it the unread posts function comes back. I must have toggled it in error.

You learn something new every day...
