Title: Redcat GEN8 international ScoutⅡ1/10
Post by: Backerther on June 29, 2021, 08:45:41 am
Hi all;
This is a Gen8 ScoutⅡ1/10 RC crawler I bough two years ago and has been serving me as a trail-runner.
This time it followed me for 12km round trip in a pass of mountainside,130km north of Tokyo.
The course was along the abolished railway that had adopted German-designed Abt system,by which the railway used to
pass the gradient of 66.7 per-mill,the steepest in railways in Japan.
Well then,shall we take a look at impressive pics.
1;Let's start here ,starting gate."The road of Abt railway"
2/3;Once upon a time,..this was an Abt system railway..
4;There were 10tunnels for the steam engines to have had towed trains ...
5;On the very famous bridge constructed more than 2.2million bricks
6;Took a break at a log-house cafe
7;This was for free! %% 3people passed in 15 minutes only!!
8;This was an electrical substation along the railway.

To sum up the walking of the 12km course along the abolished railway,my Scout2 has consumed 2 packs of 5000mAh lipos
in 6hours.
One more entertainments we did  was to have eaten as much crabs as possible on the night at a spa resort hotel,which
was the best among all this time!!! O0 {-) %%
Are you enjoying a RC model together with or in your own life?? ok2 :-)

Hi Martin;

That sounds so funny! %%

We did it at last together with this rock crawler.!!
I'm satisfied with this time of 12km pass walk in so calm air.
I wonder where to select next for walking with another rock crawler??
Possibly Jeep Gladiator Rubicon 1/10 painted scarlet red will be....
Wait,it should be nice if running in urban district from its showy profile..... %%
I am at a loss which to choose, but it depends entirely on the course of walk that should come first.!!

What speed controller do you use?    :-)

The speed controller is Spectrum Receiver/ESC combo(SPMXSE1040RX) already built-in the RTR car and this RTR is
only available when it was first put into market last August.

Hi all and especially RC rock crawler fans;
I went to a very low mountain(497m from the sea level) 80km(50 miles)north of Tokyo for enjoying a trail run by my 1/10 rock crawler Scout Ⅱ the first in the past 9 months for the sake of good health mentally and physically.
It was fine with a temperature of 12 degrees C suitable for driving my reliable machine for rough terrain as seen in the pics below.!! :-)) :D
1;passing on this kind of rocky course
2;running on the very dusty path leaving tread patterns clearly
3;a couple of the aged taking a short rest offered by my wife only after 30 minutes of walk.!!! {-) :o
4;Steep slope but not a problem at all
5;Rock crawler !!
6;2 lines of contrails in the blue sky !
7;The car is approaching the summit post where is 497.1m from the sea level. :-))
8;Going down the mountain after changing a battery of 3S 5200mAh that showed 11.4 V
9;The car is approaching the goal of car parking place,passing on the stony road.
10;The result for today is 7.2km with 4H15min.

 This rail run was so interesting to do and I could have enjoyed very rough terrain frequently in this course getting the machine so dirty and dusty with terrible dust and mud both inside and outside the car.!! :-)) {:-{ :(( <:( {-)

Hi Joe;
I do thank you so much for your comment and interest in our country.
It's now high season for "ume" (Japanese apricot) which we wanted to see in the low mountain together with a trail run of my RC crawler.  :-)) {-)
1;Under the white and red ume trees
2;Viewed from the summit of 497.1m
3;Around the summit where was full of white and red ume trees in nearly full bloom. :-))

Hi Martin;
That's right.
I carried two lipos of 3S 5200mAh,and just before reaching the summit,first one displayed 11.4V and changed to the second one that showed 12.0V at the goal point of parking site.
1/2;I can easily grasp the condition of the "fuel" by this V meter while walking behind the car any time. O0 :-))
