Does any company make these as kits please ?
I had one many many years ago and learnt a lot about sailing with the relatively small 2 channel yacht which sailed well.
It was easy to carry and a dry boat.
I would love another one or something similar, either a kit or from a plan...
I had a kyosho fairwind but that was big and is tooo impractical these days...

How about a Wee Nip - it was a free plan with MMI and very popular or Vic Smeeds Starlet - both of those should be easy to find or PM me if you cant find

Thanks redpmg, will hunt those down and have a look-see...

My sailing club adopted the Wee Nip with a Bermuda rig and it sails extremely well. We have an annual series of races for them within the club. One of our members supplies a "semi kit" to start new users of Plan, fin , lead, gooseneck and blanks cut for the sails from Mylar for about £25 . Also had a few fibre glass ones around too.
The Starlet is a nice boat too. I started off with one back in the 1970's , but there is more involved in building. although you can use the Belair semi kit. Another option would be a Star Baby, with a wood pack from Sarik giving you a good start.

Go modern and but a Dragon Force 65?
You'll enjoy it much more as it is a much better sailing machine!

The dragon force 65 is a non starter for me, mast tooo tall and dagger board tooo long needing to much depth of water.
The lake is a quarry pit with a small beach.
I would need waders for the dragon force, and, I do not fancy falling off the edge into 100 foot of water. I do not know where the edge is, a cliff really. Quarry lakes can be dangerous sometimes.
The Lesro 575 only needs about 6 inches of water to float and sail from memory, so only wgellies needed and safer for me.
I will check out the plans mentioned but same "specs" apply, not too big, not too tall and not much water needed to float and sail.
