Title: 1/12 Shannon red/yellow stripe.
Post by: 6705russell on January 02, 2022, 05:38:49 pm
Question for the anyone who has built a Shannon, what width stripes are used for the Shannon, normally I have used 6mm width on the likes of the Tamar and Severn but these look to wide on the Shannon?

Thanks in advance.

I will use 6 mm BECC vinyl lining, seems OK for me.

Could well be a difference in appearance between a Speedline hull and an MBD hull.
As you have a Speedline I would follow Alan’s lead.
For myself I will be using 6mm as supplied by MBD same as Arno

Thanks for the replies, appreciated, I offered the 5mm stripes to the hull but looking at the gap between the bottom stripe and the foremost spray rail did not look the same (in scale) as the real thing so will be going with 6mm.
