DATE FOR YOUR DIARY
The INTERNATIONAL MODEL BOAT SHOW - Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th November 2022
Warwickshire Event Centre
Meridienne Exhibitions have confirmed their intention to deliver the International Model Boat Show on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th November.
Tickets are expected to go on sale in late April.
As usual the show will be packed with over 600 fantastic models from over 25 club and society displays. The excellent and varied display of models from early warships to modern power boats and ships will be complemented by action on the large indoor boating pool.
Organisers expect many specialist suppliers to be present offering visitors everything they could need for their boat builds and other modelling needs.
In addition to all the boating action, the Tamiya Truckin team will be demonstrating and driving their 1/14 scale radio-controlled models on a roadway system over 80 metres square. This fantastic arena will feature radio controlled 1/14 scale trucks, plant and machinery.
Make a note in the diary now of the dates and see www.modelboatshow.co.uk for all the latest information.

International Model Boat Show 2022 Cancelled
Dear Colleague,
As you may be aware, it was with deep sadness we recently announced the sudden death of Chris Deith, my Dad and the Managing Director of Meridienne Exhibitions, who passed away on 12th May.
Chris, was an integral part of our events team and we relied heavily on him for his extensive knowledge, as well as hands-on skills and team support in the successful delivery of the International Model Boat Show since it started in 1997.
As a team, we have had no option but to assess our events calendar and review what is achievable given the sudden loss of Chris. It is with deep sadness and regret that we now announce the cancellation of the International Model Boat Show 2022, due to be held at the Warwickshire Event Centre on 5th & 6th November.
This is as disappointing for us as it is for you as we had hoped to bring this event back post pandemic but with our sudden great loss, we have reluctantly had to take this decision given the dramatic change in circumstances.
Thank you for your support over the years and understanding at this time.

Sad news :((
-
A sad loss to our community. I had the pleasure of meeting Chris and his team when exhibiting at Manchester some years ago and have attended many of the Meridienne Shows over the years. Condolences to his family and the Team.
-
Hopefully back on next .... I hear! :-))
-
I am very sorry to hear this on a number of levels.
Firstly, though never having met the gentleman, I believe that Chris was a power house with regards to event organisation and in other fields as well, so his loss to his family will be as great as the loss of a first rate event organiser.
I was looking forward to attending my first international model show, sampling the famous pie, talking with Sheila and Ron Kingdon amongst others and generally enjoying what I had heard was a fine engineering show. But, the loss of someone with so much knowledge and experience in running such events really is a blow.
I do hope that the show can come back next year as a testament to Chris, but also as a demonstration to his family that they too have the ability to take the reins and put on such events.
-
Absolutely :-))

Just had a message from my club saying Warwick is cancelled by organisers, anyone have more on this
