Title: Graupner c 677 servo making random movements
Post by: westcoaster on February 02, 2022, 04:48:54 pm
Hi all, I have an old Graupner servo which randomly turns without any stick movement from the Tx. There doesnt seem to be a pattern to it. The servo operates normally when the stick is moved.
What do you think this might be ? Am I as well to just recycle it ?

do you mean like a random twitch? If so you might nead to pop it open and give the pots a quick clean with some contact cleaner

If you are using more than three servos and an esc in the model, it could be low power.
BEC sometimes can not supply enough amperage if there are a lot of functions.

A way to sleuth that issue is to turn off the BEC switch and connect a reciever battery to
the reciever and check of the twitch goes away.

Funny that, had a C677 do something very similar in November. It just started sweeping left to right with no command inputs. Filed it under 'recycling'!

Thanks for your helpful suggestions, unfortunately, having eliminated both possibilities there are still "rogue" movements happening so it's now recycled
