Title: brushless esc size

Looking for help on what size esc i would require for a Turnigy brushless D3536/6 1250kv with regards to amps.

Post by: unbuiltnautilus on May 25, 2022, 09:43:05 pm: Overlanders 3536/05 (which is a slightly hotter motor) recommends a 30amp unit, mostly for flying use. Add ten amps to be on the safe side and don't overprop or over volt it and you should be fine.

a tugboat with a 3" prop on 6v is going to need a completely different esc than a v hull with a 40mm prop and 16 volts.

They are for a Trent Class Life with 40mm props and 11.1 3s lipos

Have you tried 2S? 11v (nominal) x 1250kV is over 13000 RPM - quite a lot for a lifeboat, even a big Trent.
