Title: Micro servo recommendation
Post by: ChrisH1981 on May 26, 2022, 03:02:45 pm
Hi all, im after recommendations for a micro servo for rudder application on a small fishing boat im building. The model scale is 1;14th but due to space limitations in the hull a full size servo is not an oprion. The servo must be as small as possible but still have enough torque to operate the rudder!  :-)

It might be worth looking at Aileron servos or something like Hitec low level ones, purely for the torque, as an option rather than mini or micro ones unless you really are stuck? :-))

Tower pro mg90, more than adequate for something like this. Powerful for their size too.

Hi I agree, I use 9 gram servos for rudder on my Billing Mary Ann fishing boats.  They work well no problem.Roy
