Hello Charlie and John
Thanks for responding to my post appreciated! the application intended for the strips is the stringers for a wood frame model boat
need to be pretty precise to fit the CnC slots cut in the plywood frame formers or ribs plans say 2.5 thick by 9 mm wide provided in the kit
Any additional help would be greatly appreciated .

Have a word with Chris at the above mentioned slec UK. I'm fairly certain he will cut wood to your specific requirements.

As always, it might be better saying what kit (not a kit, requirement -you know what I mean) first before looking for many answers not so good? I think all I can find amongst others is 2.4x9.5mm of several sources.

Hi Rich and everyone
I appreciate the input and read you loud and clear staying with design in tended for the kit. Unfortunately the kit only offers some cheap
balsa wood for stringer and as far as balsa wood goes longevity of balsa is not much that has been my experience in the past ?
The rest of the kit is good CnC mahogany plywood parts and birch ply they just skimped on the stringers and I wanted to build it to last !
little rc kneeler hydro .

If have found that working with wood, the dimensions are not critical, the stuff moves/expads/contracts more than we realise, and things rarely fit perfectly straight away. If the wood stirp for the stringers is a tiny bit larger than needed in places, a quick tickle with sandpaper can make it fit perfecty. Just remeber that there are 4 sides/edges to the stringers. The outboard edge should be the one that is NOT adjusted. That way everything will stay true/inline. I always mark a face side with a pencil, so that I do not accidentally spoil it.
Sorry if I am teaching you how to suck eggs.

Some of the longer lengths and larger pieces are more available from Model Aircraft suppliers, or they used to be.
I am working through an acccumulation of wood and turning them into models, otherwise they will be dumped when I shuffle off this mortal coil! 2 models so far others to follow.
