I am trying to help a young gentleman with his first r/c boat. He acquired an Aquacraft Atlantic harbor tug and is generally happy with it. However, the reverse function is very limited. I have looked things over and the best that I can guess is that the ESC limits his reverse speed. I can not find a manual on the Aquacraft 30amp ESC. Does anyone have first hand knowledge as to whether or not this ESC, from the factory, is designed with, I would guess, 50% LESS throttle range than forward speed?Lastly, is there anyway to reprogram this speed limitation? :(( Many ThanksJonathan

As far as I know, the answer is yes, it's programmed that way and no, it isn't possible to reprogram it.

Many Thanks. As I suspected, and feared... >>:-(

Many have replaced the radio and speed controllers with 'hobby' grade gear, as opposed to the fitted 'toy' grade stuff ....

Yes Martin, I agree, but there is a funds availability issue at the moment. I think a new radio and especially a new ESC will make a world of difference.ThanksJonathan
