Hi 1275,
I have used these motors in the past I remember removing the splined drive, I had the 12 volt ones and boy do they eat up batteries quickly! I don't know all the technical/electrics amps load etc just that a 12v 7AH SLA didn't run for very long. Thanks for your interest and help much appreciated.
Cheers, Pete :-)) :-)) :-))

T12's are the only one's I use on my bigger boats never had to replace one yet you get what you pay for after all the time of setting my drive lines up I never want to do it again can never understand why some modeller's spend £££££ and time on a model but then want put a six pound motor in it and moan when have to replace it after a season.
Fastfas before you say it no sir am not having a go at you friend just some thing I see time and time again.
Regards Howard.

Howard,
We all have an opinion which I would never change, however at the end of the day it all comes down to what you are prepared to lay out finance wise for your particular hobby (if you can find them on the internet have a look at some of the models I have built including a twin screw, both T12's, Norton Cross which I was told could not be done) T12 motors are very good but in my opinion not worth the cost being charged by MMM. There are lots of better motors out there especially in the brushless field it's all down to what the individual wants.

Hello Pete,
yes there not cheap maybe I go to Mobile Marine Models as there only 11 miles from me so in some ways, never gone down the brushless route yet, I just like the thought that I never have to replace them after spending the time lining every thing up, will try and fine you boats to look at plus most of mine are 1:24 North East tugs.
Regards Howard.
