Hi!
I knew that I was going to be in trouble, but I took the risk despite the prohibitive price of the Stuart brand which is quoted well on this side of the Channel ; import taxes and other insurance, transport and so on on the other side!
The machine being there, I took pleasure in unjamming everything, dismantling everything before cleaning. I'm missing a part or two that I had to be able to machine down or to look after if necessary.
My biggest problem is the upper part of the cylinder head which is missing a part. Broken !
Maybe someone will have a spare one or an idea to fix it .... ?
Everything is dismantled and I have to drill the broken screws in the block that hold the lid. Not too much rust, a good sand papering will be enough.
Paint removal , ultra sounds, and I put everything back together !

Getting better! :-))

Nice to see your rebuild is progressing nicely, what boat will you use the engine in?

Good evening Jopnggd !
This engine is to replace the one I've put in a launch. First sail = first problem. solved now. :-))

I should be able to sail the launch as soon as the temp allows it.
In the mean time I found this one to restaure. Should be operational soon .... I hope !
Regards.

Well done on completing a successful renovation looking forward to seeing it in the boat and running on the lake when the weather warms up
