Portsmouth Historic Dockyard are offering free tours of the working floor in Boat House 4 which is used for small craft building and renovating. I took advantage of the offer yesterday. I won't repeat everything here but you can see my post on the Model Boats website:

I can also recommend the restaurant and bar up on the gallery .  Makes the day out complete
