Can anyone tell me if MPBA insurance covers the use of model steam boats ?

Have you checked the MPBA website? Lots of info there.

You would need to have a valid boiler certificate I think.

Hi Yes the MPBA does cover all steam boats (including Flash Steam)
you will require a boiler certificate too conform to the insurance .
