I am thinking of getting a new
Volantex Compass RTR RC yacht v791-1.
Are they any good ?
How water tight are they ?
Any water ingress into hulls internal space at all ?
I have emailed volantex EU for info who will be forth coming I hope.
I may purchase from HOWES by mail order. Any bad experiences with them at all ?
Thanks in advance for all info and opinions.

Thanks for the reply admin.
Yes, seen the retailers descriptions and specs, will check your suggested youtube video later.
There is nothing like an owner's feedback report though.
All info seen so far does not state models draught, the depth of water needed for it to float, an important bit of info I would have thought, it being a boat ?
I don't know yet if I need a pair of waders !
No feedback from volantex yet.
Anyone got one of these models on here ?

Yep, seen that video...
I wish the lesro 575 kit was being made these days, a perfect model for the very close lake.
A bit of an ask but anyone got a 575 and would be prepared to produce sectional drawings of the hull etc. ?
Very time consuming I know...
I don't think there would be any old stock kits or an unstartef kit available these days ??

Bet there is Rich, they appear at times on the flee. Attic finds.

Hi Ian,
Nothing spotted on eBay yesterday, will keep checking from time to time but I'm not going to hold my breath.
Still no feedback from volantex EU.
Again will wait for a bit.
Will try and print off a full picture of this model, total hieght known so some proportioning and sums to arrive at an approximate draught/depth of water needed to float.
I wonder how strong the hull is around the keel/dagger board area, a spring loaded keel to save keel strike on bottom of lake bed to prevent hull breakage ? It's a long keel !
Anyone got one of these models on here, anyone know anyone who has one ?
