Is the Flysky i4x a reasonable radio, if you dont need 6 ch, seems to be around half the price.

Or even this, mentioned on another thread here.

Is there anything else to consider? I have yet to look into second hand options.
Last time I was involve in RC was 20 years ago racing RC cars using a 2ch 27Mhz set that would now be considered 'vintage' if I was to sell it.

C'mon Daniel, unless you have 28 channels as available on the latest Zobothrutch Mk85 unit you're not playing seriously.
Regards Ian.
Mine's a Sanwa Mini Two, forads, bakards, left and right. wot's to go wrong?

Ha, indeed! I'm not sure my brain has much more than four channels.

Additional notes.
The i6 is nearly as good as the i6X especially if you only need 6ch not 10ch.
The i6S doesn't have trim buttons, you can only adjust trim within the menu system.
The i4X doesn't I believe have the trainer socket in the back.

Hi wondered iuf I might tail gate this discussion as you guys probably know the answer.Looking to get a Flysky i6 to control my boat and its functions. When looking at all the myriad it seems of options on Ali Express one is confuseed by all the numbers and letters identifying the sets available. Almost all talk about drones and muticopters almost none about anything else. Some trucks and cars but not boats. My question is which one would suit or they all much the same?many thanks for any answers.Raynor Jkiwiland

There isn't much difference that I can see.
As said, the i6 is the earlier version and needs a hack to get it to 10ch where the i6x it ten from the off. The 4ch is more basic but also fine if that's all you want.
I would just get a i6x and be done with it.
