Hi, I'm struggling to find and decent files for boat fittings for warships or boats in general. I've looked at the usual suspects of Thingiverse and Cults3D, but can't really find anything useful to print from those on my resin and FDM machines.

Depends what you’re looking for. Cults has thousands of boat designs and parts

Sincerely, the reason I didn't buy a 3d printer, for years, was because,
I used to say, "I am a 3d printer..." But also because my CAD skills were
severely lacking, and many CAD programs didn't make sense. Then someone
I knew shared a tutorial from Youtube, and a lot of what I remeber became familiar again.
A 3d printer is much more useful if you are able to draw your own parts. I am now able
to do that, thanks to the tutorial giving me the kick start. Whether it's Sketchup, OnShape, or
Fusion360, or another software, tool up your CAD skills, and any part you need is available.
This is the Tutorial for Fusion360, it is free for the hobbyist. The Fusion website will try to steer
you to a "Trial" version, but insist on the free version for hobbyists. Once you click on Trial, it will
want you to pay later.
Here is the Tutorial, by Kevin Kennedy, that got me started, it is clear, slow, able to
back up and re-watch, and no foreign accent to battle. I still use his later tutorials when
I am struggling to create new or difficult shapes. :-))
