I am banging my head against a brick wall with a chap who is attempting to fit out a 1/35 E Boat. Every single suggestion I make is being shot down, with counter suggestions sometimes bordering on the plain daft. The latest one being using an AA battery pack at 7.2v on a single brushless motor for 'stability purposes'. He is, it turns out, an ex engineer!
Anybody happy to share their successful installations in either the Italeri, Robbe, or Graupner Premium Line models cos I am about to cast the chap adrift to his own devices?

Hi Alan,
As you know I had a 1/35 E Boat and the other David in our club had the 1/40 EBoat that we used with your team at Portsmouth Action Station events.
My set up was three Speed 400 motors, 15amp MTronic ESC and a 8 cell NImh pack. Props were the Two outer props were Brass three blade, same size as the kit ones. The centre one was the kit plastic prop modified with brass insert threaded and a brass end bearing.
The 1/40 was setup similar to mine.
The model Run well had a turn of good speed and was very stable. The battery was fitted low in bottom of the model about 2 /3 from the stern. ECS, receiver was between the motors and the battery, with the rudder servo aft.(mini servo) if the engineer come up with the servo is not strong enough, it is mine has never let me down.
Hope this helps :-)) :-)) :-))

Hi unbuilt.... I share your final paragraph! Let the fellow make all his own mistakes but perhaps not say "I told you so".
I am having similar difficulties with someone as well. You can offer your expertise and some of your time and if that is not enough move on.
