Title: Respirator similar to Hobbyair System
Post by: dpbarry on January 15, 2024, 10:36:14 pm
Hi Folks.

Does anyone know if there is anything comparable in the UK to this American system

Trying to tie in a portable system with my brother who works at car body repairing. He has the mask which he uses at work with their plumbed in air system but he’s working on a project at home building a MK 2 Escort but will have to sort out a separate air system for the mask hence looking at a portable system - which will benefit me 😁😁🤣🤣

Cheers

Bill, well one end of the vacuum sucks - a bit like your suggestion - when you use air for breathing it has to be very very clean and filtered.  I have used in the past as small nebuliser machine to help my breathing when I have been spraying but nothing to do with commercial.  However, I am sure there will be somewhere like Tool station or screwfix or machine mart may help out with your brother's needs of breathable compressed air.  Dont forget it does need to be regulated to a breathable pressure so it does no damage to the lungs.
