Hi just a quick introduction hopefully going to make it to Wicksteed on the Saturday with my 2 old model boats that were originally scratch built by my grandfather and father ( both formally employed at Chatham dockyard) and I have recently got them back into working order. The TID tug has been converted back to electric with a home made smoke unit but used to have its own boiler and engine which I hope to make a running bench display at some point.


It will be my first Mayhem can I just turn up boats and all ?

Mayhem at Wicksteed is open house. You can just turn up at any time. You may like to read the FAQs on the mayhem thread.

I also have a paddle steamer in need of restoration trouble is not enough hours in a day …

Bring the steam engine, SteamBoat Phil will take a gander for you. Look for the scruffy Fraggle with a black hat@
