Title: New member with sailboat

Newbie member here just saying hello. I have recently acquired a non-working Monsoon 900 RC sailboat so I may be looking for a little advice to get it working. I have sailed full size boats for years so I have an idea of how it should go, its just the electronics need sorting. I have modelling experience with plastic kits and model railroad (USA N scale DCC) and live near Nottingham. I hope to make it to Wickstead later this month to see what it’s all about.

There’s model boat clubs within your area if you want to join with like minded souls, Nottingham and Grantham both have active clubs if you need help.

Yes, I’ve had a phone chat with one of the Nottingham members and hope to make it down to one of their sessions soon. Trouble is their sailing day clashes with my full size toy boat sailing day! Grantham is a bit further  away so I’ll try Nottingham first.

You will find lots of help and advice at the Mayhem weekend, bring along the boat and many hands will delve in (start with Klunk)

'King Lear Model Boat Club' at Watermead Park just north of Leicester !
