having trouble posting with photos.......just keeps deleating the post.
I have two sets of motors that i hope will power my 51" model lifeboat and was hoping for any advice as to whether eiother pair will power such a big boat.
The first pair are JOHNSON HC 970 Series. I cannot see the input range on them but would imagin that they are at least capable of 12v input
The second set although physically smaller are BUHLER MOTORS and are rated at 12 - 18 volt input.
Or would i be better getting some other matching motors.........if so would the 800's do the job.
it appears that when i try to attach the 2 pictures of the motors the leletion happens.

What size are the propellers? The boat size doesn't matter because the motors won't be turning the boat around.
HC970s are fantasic motors that turn around 4500rpm on 12v. 'Buhler' is just a manufacturer, we need the product number or serial from the motor to find out the specifications.

Thanks for all the replies guys and sorry but have only just seen them.
Found out from some info received that the two motors are a mismatched pair , one running at 4 - 5000 rpm, and the other rated at 12000 rpm......the'd be going round in circles all day long lol.
And so i decided to put the 2 buhlers in to the boat instead as the same gent told me they would be able to run a 55mm prop all day long so that is what i did.
