Post by: mk1 on February 07, 2025, 06:44:58 am
Hi has any body out there got any items to do with the Clyde Lifeboat 70003. Looking for plans or hull etc. I would like to try and build one as my father in law helped to build it.
Thanks John

hi John, Mountleet models has hull, for 002/003, plus cabins for 002 that he bought from models by design i think and which i made plugs from , from a wooden hull i had bought from scotland based on 003. mike pendlebury, [Gribeauval on here] built a new cabin for 003 and all 3 can be seen in a photo of the 3 boats up at lochj ness in 2011

Hi Neal thanks for that I had a look a little bit on the large size I think I would have to go to 1/24 as I have not got the room or the strength to move it a round.
Thanks John

you are quite right John...........they are a beast, and the one i have on the table to repair had huge brushed motors still in it...........and the owner of this one has got another for me to build almost from hull up so one will have to go before i start on the other........or i can see me with no hair left within days. lol.
