Title: LCM III 3 landing craft?

I’m building a LCM three landing craft and I’m getting all of my information from A model kit 1/35 scale
The scour that I am building to is 1/16 Scale on the model kit laying on the deck there is a pipe with like a cone at one end.
Does anyone know what this object is?

The pipe with the cone is a hand operated bilge pump. I marked this item with a red arrow :

Dukw amphibians carried a similar bilge pump.
