Start with 30 psi to be sure all is as it should be, of course do not over pressure, but you will know.... :-))

Bonjour Allan,
Personally I operate all my steam machines between 30 - 40 PSI (2 -2,5 Bar) as I save autonomy and keep a wet steam lubricant so I would kindly suggest you to keep 40 PSI as a good idea.
I always test my steam machines, large or small, alone at first on air then on steam and a well settled one starts operating at about 200 g / 5 PSI :-))
Did you make such a test ?
For fun, a large compound on a breath of air : https://youtu.be/jElze4zpbnQ then on steam : https://youtu.be/UnDiM2Vw6HQ
