Title: GRP Hull Construction
Post by: BarryM on December 11, 2007, 10:58:47 pm
All my hulls to date have been scratch-built plank on frame but I'm now thinking that the next should be GRP. I know the general principles of building a plug to best finish, create mould and take copy from mould. Can anyone point me in the direction of a good primer that will lead me through the details of selection of resin, mat/cloth, split/one piece moulds, tools etc. for model builders? I've seen general advice but I'm thinking that someone, somewhere has produced something specifically for we pond life.

Thanks for all help,
Barry M

Just come across another "How to Manual" for working with GRP
See http://www.epoxy-resins.co.uk/ (http://www.epoxy-resins.co.uk/) and click on the link "Download our PDF manual to read at you leisure". This link will then allow you to download a Zip file for their manual in PDF format .
