Title: Broom 44
Post by: justboatonic on December 31, 2007, 11:30:05 pm
Just been looking at the updated gallery on Slipway's site.

There's a nice pic of the Broom 44 motor launch. I thought that was a very nice looking model myself. Shame its no longer with us!

Contact Slipway as they may still have some left if you are interested. I know they use to it worth a try.

Hi Guys,
I bought what I believe was the last one at Warwick, going cheap as it had slight damage to the hull/deck join.Nothing that can't be fixed. Jackie did say it was the last of the run but it's always worth checking. It's going to take a long time to put together but it would appear to be worth it looking at those pictures. I too would like to know where those dolly birds can be obtained, anyone got any info.?
TD.

The Broom in Martin's photos is the display model and Lawrie made the ladies with Milliput.

A French customer who displayed a modified Loyal class at the Warwick show (with pink superstructure and dolly birds all over the place) tells me to google "fastwomen" for suitable ladies.
Martin took loads of photos of his model at the show !!

Still say the nicest looking is the Deans Marine M.Y. Dufresne
This one built by Mr.D.Lawrence from New Zealand.
