Anyone out there building this superb kit?
I'm up to completing second planking this week. Particularly interested in if you have used Jotika's Admiralty paints (acrylic or enamel). Their yellow ochre don't look like the real Victory colour to me.

Jim,
Dont forget that the yellow ochre on Victory at the moment, may be a few years old and it does fade quite a bit. I found this out some years ago when Ibuilt my Victory. Best to find out when she was last painted if you are using the real thing as your guide.

PS. Lets have some pics then..

Barry,
I did have a chat a couple of years back with Peter Goodwin, curator of Victory, about this. I think it's all to do with how colour frequencies and wavelengths appear to the human eye in varying light conditions. All seems a bit complicated to my simple mind, and whilst the Jotika colours might well be an exact match I just wonder if it's just the scale factor - same as a matt finish on a model may more accurately portray the appearance than a satin finish that might actually have been used on the full size.
Pics - certainly, as soon as it starts to look a bit more interesting!
Cheers
