Spend with them nearly every year at the Brighton Modelworld which they sponsor, also used them for mail order, great service, would spend a fortune if I went to the shop.

would spend a fortune if I went to the shop.
As I seem to do, nearly every time.... ;)
They were supposed to be bringing out part 2 of their catalogue covering the electrical/electronics side sometime before Christmas but when I was in there a few weeks back it was still not yet available.
Oh dear, having read this I feel another visit coming on.....
-
I have used them fora while, and am lucky enough to have the electronics catalogue (last years)---I have been to the shop, and you are right, its amazing what you come out with that you didn't realise you needed.
-
I had a dable in thier catalogue and ended up spending 170 quid.

I had a dabble in thier catalogue and ended up spending 170 quid.
Ah, so that explains it! Last time I was there I was nearly knocked over by a lady staff member with a large trolley sweeping armfuls of stuff off the shelves....
-
Yes, that stand at Modelworld convinced me that I needed all sorts of things I hadn't thought of.
-
Their mail-order service is second to none. Many a time I have placed an order with them by phone in the afternoon and received the order by post next morning.
-
OK I'm convinced. Where do I write to please

I lived a stone's throw from Bognor for some years and have in-laws who still live there but I never knew of Squires until Colin Bishop mentioned his frequent visits.
On my recent visit to Bognor I popped in, WOW!
There are two shops adjacent one for modelling and the other for every craft you can think of. The catalogue is a gem. But don't expect the shop staff to be overly helpful, the ones I met were really just shelf fillers and mail-order selectors. However, when a more senior guy was called to answer my query he seemed more knowledgable.
Roger in France.
