Title: Fast hull for brushless and 12volt
Post by: andi4x4 on April 17, 2008, 10:07:51 am
 Hi guys,

I have a 450 size helicopter which uses 2200mah 11.2v li-pos - I have 8 of these, but, due to the amount of wind we get here on the Isle of Man, I don't get to use the heli very often -

so -

I was wondering if you guys could suggest a suitable fast electric hull that would utilise the li-pos and a spare 3800kv brushless motor and 30a esc I have ?

Something semi-scale would be cool- not really into all-out-race-design !

Thanks in advance

Andi

something like this would probably go well and stay dry inside at speed

 Hi Peter,

Thanks for that - I am already building a 1/32 scale Brave Borderer, so, was kinda looking for something of a more "sports/leisure" type.  I have seen one or two on ebay, but, nothing that really makes me say " That's the one" - if you know what I mean !

I was just wondering what other people are running with the size of power package I have available, really. I do not know much about brushless systems, so, I don't know what the brushed motor setup equivalent would be to a 3800kv motor on 12v

Regards

Andi

I think this may be  the type of motor you are using, you may get a starting point from this also look on the deans site there are some nice sports boats.
