Title: Cleopatra/lExocet Leander. 1/64th
Post by: Alan on May 05, 2008, 11:17:29 am
I have been given by my son a 1/64th scale model of diomede. It's been knocked about a bit (use to belong to BRNC) I'm in the early stages of restoring it and converting it to Cleopatra, on which I served when she was converted to Exocet. I have the Jacobin plans for Cleo but it's a bit vague around the emergency conning position /scot deck, I need to know shape of openings for boiler downtakes As this model is 64th scale I will have to build everything from scratch. I'm also looking for some good photos of AKE aerials (965)

Alan,
I am also rebuilding this model.
It is the old Hydrofibre Kit.
The one I am doing is a horrible moulding, as soon as I touch the hull with wet and dry it uncovers more air holes.
Been on it over a month now and almost got it acceptable, almost!!
Unfortunately my plans are not the best as the supplied plans are A4 sheets selotaped together!!
Best of luck with her.
