can any one tell me if its 'possable' to change a dutch language web site into english ?????
-
If there isnt a 'English' section on the site that will do the translation, you can use this..
http://babelfish.altavista.com/

I find that Babelfish gives me some greatly amusing translations but helps to gain an understanding of the subject.
Do remember that we have a few Dutch Mayhemmers who may be able to help you if you ask nicely.

Some time ago I got the idea that Heller had made a model of the French Navy's escort carrier Dixmude. This ship was formerly HMS Biter. Using Google's translation facility I was surprised to find references to HMS F*cker and HMS to F*ck. I know the Royal Navy has had some pretty rum names for its ships over the years, but this seemed to be going a bit far.
Trawling through the memory banks, it occurred to me that bite (along with chipolata and many others) is French slang for the male member, and biter the informal verb for its second most useful (if not second most enjoyable) function. Though I suppose this could depend on immediate needs and how many pints one has downed.
Beware of translation programs!
