Title: 1:100 Typhoon sub
Post by: Sub driver on May 14, 2008, 04:26:46 pm
Hello folks
A couple of pics of one I have just finished.
A 1:100 scale Russian Typhoon sub, NOT the Engel kit this is made from 5 part fibreglass mouldings fibreglassed up into one hull, and then detailed by hand including 3,498 anechoic tiles, scratch built dive module , opening front vanes,  Hydraulic periscopes and opening front missile silos, with a working sonar and dive claxon, up to 8 channels so far.

Hope someone, somewhere finds it interesting.

Nice to see someone else who has built at 1/100th scale, even though my battleship is taking me forever to build.

Nice looking Sub does it sail well??

Very nice build.

Did you scribe in the anechoic tile detail before or after the hull was cast?
