My aged parent lives in Southsea..
I have been waiting to turn her house, in Festing Road, into a refuge for the Fallen Ladies of Queen Street, but alas the old girl, God Bless Her, has outlived them all.
Now I shall sell it, if ever the chance comes along, for a whole wheelbarrow full of money, some of which I will waste on food and clothes, the rest will help transport my thirst and body around the world.

On another channel was a re run of England beating Australia in the Ashes of 2005. History I know but far more entertaining than watching a top flight team starting to waste time just after half time............They may have won, but not a good example for English football......But then What do I know??

Isnt that the game where they use odd shaped balls to make them easier to carry, not "THE BEAUTIFUL GAME".
Despite Pompey holding on to the FA Cup for the longest, a record that will NEVER be beat, it is nice to win it again.
I wonder why if it wasnt that important so many Welsh turned up!!
Oh well couldnt just be ENVY could it? could be!!

I am about 500 yds from a PO Postcode, and yes did think about moving!!!
But the boss said NO.

As far as I am concerned the Cup Final is good for just one thing, there will be slightly less football reporting in the media for a few weeks!
Roger in France (where cycling, fishing, hunting and boule is more popular than football).

My Portsmouth fan colleague went to the match, as he said it's the only time they'll play in an F.A. cup final in his lifetime...but he had the good sense to book tomorrow off - he won't be able to speak, or will sound like Darth Vader.. And he'll be unbearable for at least 3 days.

Unbearable for longer he may be - but by then I'll be in Cyprus for 10 days, and when I return he's off to Egypt for a fortnight....so it's only 3 days!

Congratulations Pompey, as a real football fan I can imagine the elation you're feeling O0
Ignore the "football is boring" brigade >:(, they'll never understand the passion, the terrible lows & the unbelievable highs and the effect it can have on your daily life.
Rugby is a great game, I watched the Tigers for years & played myself at a decent level but it can never compare to the beautiful game.
