Title: correct fuse for mtroniks viper marine 25 speed control
Post by: BORIS on May 26, 2008, 02:07:38 pm
I Have to put an inline fuse between the Battery and the ESC..the instuctions for the viper marine 25 recomend using a fuse 5A lower than the ESC ,s stated limit..eg a 10A fuse for a 15A ESC...so as im using a 25A ESC that means a 20A fuse!!...i have a fuse holder from halfords but its only a 5 amp max..and thats the only one Halfords have in stock..so i have to find a 20A fuse and 20A inline fuse holder..am i correct..?

yep if the fuse holder is only rated for 5ah and you put 20ah though it it will most probebly met after a time. Go down to you local NON halfords  car accessory shop and the will most like have a in line fuse holder for spade fuses and most probebly cheaper.

Hi Boris
If you attach a spade connector to the ends of your cables where you want your inline connector you can plug into them a 20amp car fuse (spade type)  O0
