Title: Billings Colin Archer 414
Post by: wideawake on June 26, 2008, 10:19:26 pm
Hi

I've just got out a Billings Colin Archer 414 that I've had under the bench for a while.   As usual with Billings kits (I built a Karoline!) the instructions are minimal.   That's no problem generally but I've come up with one question straightaway.  Is part 2, the long piece inside the keel intended to be curved and glued down to the base of the hull moulding or should it be horizontal and about an inch of the bottom?   The pictures in the booklet are so poor I find it's impossible to see.

I'd be interested to hear from anyone who's built this kit, particularly any problems or tips to make the build go smoothly.

Cheers

Guy
