Title: Working Capstan
Post by: destroyer42 on July 07, 2008, 08:59:48 pm
Hi,
Has anybody ever built a working capstan? I'm not talking about a winch,. I was thinking of adapting a servo so it rotates 180 degrees any ideas?

I built one for my steam drifter, about three quarters of the way down the page  about post 17.

Eventually I used a modified servo instead of the motor in the pictures as it rotated slower.
