looking in the local photography shop the other day and came across cans of compressed air used for dusting cameras etc .they have a threaded top and resealable valve and stand about 9" high (not sure about the volume) and priced at £7.99 each .
would these be ok for airbrush kits .

Hi Portside
At 8 quid a can, and a can only lasts a short while, I would ask : How much is a compressor?

Hi Daz,
Forget about the cans mate, if I remember rightly it took about seven cans to do my Al Khubar so get a cheap compressor. I got mine from B&Q years ago when they had an offer on but seem to remember that either Lidl, Aldi or Netto had one on offer the other week. They might still have some left and you might even get a 'proper' spray gun with it for doing hulls with.
Cheers,
Paul.

Thanks lads ,
called in to the new local model shop in goole today and he recomended the same thing .the aerosolls are mainly for the micro moddellers where small areas are sprayed .
the original reason for the posting is if the cans were cheap or not in time i may get a kit and start spraying myself ,but until them the brush will do O0

I have done all my work with Halfords sprays for the very large areas and a brush for the rest. What do mayhemmers suggest as a starter airbrush?
