An old LCI was on display at the Portland Maritime Heritage Festival this weekend.
It has to be towed the event as there are no engines on board at this time.
However their Tug boat captain was injured in a log rolling competition and
could not climb to the wheel house of his tug...
I rushed to offer an assist, but lacked the power to move it from the dock.
I think TBW has the only tugs that could have done this job.

That is what I call confidence ! Maybe a couple of degrees of up on the front dive planes when running WOT Umi ? O0 Wonder if the guy thumbing a lift from the pushboat got his ride ::) Thanks for pics, looks like it was a great event.

I think TBW has the only tugs that could have done this job.
If i had known Umi, i would of bought the TBW 'master' series... WW and Mustang Sally.. :o

..and just how far can you throw yours Toes ? This may be the new Springer sport and to think some folk are making them out of styrene sheet :o

And I thought I was brave with battlespringer taking on the big boys at Beale park !!!!!!!
Now I have seen how it should be done--I hang my head in shame !!!!!!!

Great to see a shot from my home town and also great to know there are other members living here in Portland!! many nice boats at the show including the PT boat!!
Thanks for sharing that great shot of your "Springer that could...almost" but at least tried.. O0
