Quite a few videos are not available to those of us who live outside the UK.
It appears to be quite an arbitrary thing, as I can see no pattern to what is and is not available.
However, I saw the original broadcast and agree that it was excellent.
For those of you who enjoy reading, Andrw Marr (who made the TV programme) is a great writer and he currently has several books available. The book on his career in journalism I particularly enjoyed.
To FLJ, "Yer me bouty, do e be understanin they book things? Down long-a-we us gets books right fine but that telly, bein as he is new fangled, us dawn always git-in".
Roger in France.

Dave,
Roger in France is quite right. Some we can see and others we can't. This un aint possible.......
Within the last five minutes I have had a notice from the post office to go and collect my package. Brilliant and I didn't even think it had been posted yet. Will email you this morning...

Accessibility may be due to marketing rights. The BBC do export a lot of their stuff to other countries.
-
I expect you are right, Colin. Which would explain the lack of consistency, it just depends what they have sold at any given time.

As far as I can see the iPlayer is only available to download to a UK internet address. They use some software to determine where you are. I looked as I was going to tell my daughter in France about it, now that she has broadband at last.
As for the Britain from the air series, I am sure it will be out on DVD when the series finishes. The 'Francesco's Mediterranean Voyage' series is now on DVD I notice.

As an aside, Google Earth images for the UK have been updated. A few months ago all you could see of north wales was very course, now there are 1m sat images. I can even see my brothers car parked in the drive.
