...Hi Guys..
No I dont mean "Harry Skitter or whatever you want to call him, I mean ME...My battle with Virgin Broadband is over & I am back on line again... God !... have I missed You Guys....
A back down from Mr Bransons boys & a better sounding amount due paid & Its all Go Again...Nop sign of an admission of them being wrong though or even an apology for mucking up our bill then disconnecting us for non-payment of account...
Has anyone else experienced this treatment from Virgin Broadband...
Our monthly bill went up to almost £100.00 due to loads of Downloads of Movies & Music Videos from their On Demand service...
Some of the downloads were done when we knew that there was no one at home at the time & date of the download according to their bill...
Anyway I am nowq back on board following a month in the wilderness...
...Gee Its Good To Be Back...All The Best...Norry...

Hi Norry,
At the risk of sounding like a grumpy old fellah - or a broken record - I have seen crap customer service from Virgin. Just a few months ago they threatened to take to court and sue my wife's father over an unpaid bill amounting to around £30.
...This followed us sending them two letters about the bill, in which we detailed his death the previous January, including a copy of the death certificate. ???
My wife rang them up and had a row with them. It was a delight to hear. She got everything squared-off and cancelled, received a verbal apology - and then another letter arrived a week later, demanding the money.
We're just ignoring them now. And I'm glad I took a Sky broadband package.

Not Virgin Broadband... but a similar experience with a 'Cable TV Provider' following the death of my Father back in 2001..
They threatened to take him to court for the cost of the (TV) set top box... which was returned to the company and i had a written reciept stating it had been returned. The 'debt' was even handed to a Debt Collection agency... even though i had written to the Cable Company enclosing a copy of my Father's death certificate...
The telephone conversation went like this.. >>:-(
Them: "We will take him to court"..
Me: "We have three ways to sort this out...
1/ We sort it out over the phone NOW...
2/ We sort this out through my Solicitor...
3/ You summon him to appear in court... and I WILL have him dug up so he can appear AND i WILL have the TV and Newspapers in attendance to cover your incompetence...
Now... which would you like to chose...."
I didnt hear from them again... O0
By the way... welcome back Norry!!! :)
