It's going to be a very long dive time with that peristaltic pump. :o
Or are you using it for a trim cell?
-
O0
this baby will be almost zero bouyancy when complete due to all the gizmo's so won't need much to take her to the bottom so it should be fine,
thanks for the heads up though!,
Rob

Gotcha- not going for a scale waterline then.
-
Can you tell us a bit about the pump please?
Martin
-
I'll chip in here. The pump is a small peristaltic unit. It uses a 540 type motor,a low RPM and low current version. The pump can flow 220ml per minute, so it's really only suitable for small tanks. The advantages of a peristaltic pump are- they are self sealing, they can pump either direction, they can pump relatively high pressure and they are relatively simple. Disadvantages? Not terribly efficient, slow and quite bulky compared to other designs of pumps.

I should get a scale water line with the floation foam added to bring her up, this will only just be to do that only, I am reducing and custom making all WTC for each required item so as much flooded area is involved as there is enough space in her for all the bits I want to put in her but not for the original tray set up so its a gonner!"
but that is months away as got much designing to get the 20 missile launchers in first to then work out where the bits are to locate inside the hull, nothing like a location lottery!!
