Title: EGRET or EGRETE
Post by: barriew on August 27, 2008, 11:18:53 am
Not sure of the correct spelling - the Model Boats plan is Egrete, the ABS hull for it is Egret ::)

Does anyone know when this plan was published, and if there was an accompanying build article?  Its a Dave Metcalfe design, and there is an ABS hull for it, so I think it may have been the '90's or earlier.

As an aside, I find the Model Boats plan site to be severely lacking in useful information. Many plans have no picture, many have no dimensions or scale, and none show the date first published. There are also two categories that I don't understand - Plans RICC and WAT. :(

The drawings were first published as ' Freebies ' in Model Boats, May 1988 issue.

Thanks for that Martin!

Now, does anyone have the June. July and August 1988 Model Boats they are willing to sell? I've tried the usual sources but only the May issue is available.
