I am looking for a flexible control cable/rod that runs in a plastic sleeve, the type used in model airplanes for linking between the servo and control surfaces.
Trouble is, I havent a clue what they are called or where to find them. I have tried googling, but not knowing the product name I have had no luck.
Can anyone help?

Bowden Cable
Sullivan Snake
Google push rod.
I got one last year.
I think it was from A Model World or Westbourne Models, not 100% sure.
But if you ring them youcan discuss it with them and order.

How long do you need? I have a length of flexible plastic rod in a sleeve. Let me know what length you require and I'll measure it. If its long enough you can have it.

Just to add to what TT has said, Bowden cable is stranded steel cable which runs inside a plastic tube, while the Sullivan Snakes are like a star-section length of plastic tube which runs inside a larger one. Don't forget to check out what sort of fittings you require to make connections to each end; Mark W will know the score, as he has a number of model submarines which have identical connections in them.
BTW I reckon TT must win the prize for the furthest distance travelled to get to a model boat show - Shanghai to Ellesmere Port!

Barrie,
My apologies for not acknowledging your generous offer, as soon as I saw Bowden cable in TT's post I went off at a tangent and ordered some, came back and saw your offer.
Thanks anyway

Barry at Mainly Models has sullivan Snakes for sale, which are complete with all connectors, one is already attached

for end connectors you can soft solder a bent paper clip on the end of the inner cable.
