Can anyone help me with the selection of brushless motors for my Model Slipway Tamar Lifeboat to replace the Graupner Speed 600 Eco,s suggested by Slipway?
What would the equivalent brushless motors be and what is their power rating?
Do they have to use lipo batteries, or can I use gel or NimH?
Am I correct in thinking that for the same physical size brushless would be more powerful and economic on batteries.
What voltage do they use?
Manufacturers?
Thanks

Laurie is trying brushless motors in this model.
Might be worth an email to Model Slipway.

Hi there,
Im very new to this brushless lark too but id recomend one of the "seaking" ESC which you see on ebay as these are watercooled and have reverese functions as in making the boat go backwards. I would imagine with the motors debssnal suggested you will have a very speedby boat! I have 2 of the tornado thumper 1100kv 3530 Brushless motors running on 12v gell cells on my 40" fireboat and they are FAST. I will reprot when i get proper sea trials over the next couple of weeks though.
