Title: Hms Ajax and Hms Nelson
Post by: riggers24 on April 14, 2006, 04:17:47 PM
Here is a photo of Hms Ajax and Hms Nelson on the water, both are at 1/96 scale so off the top of my head thats 66" for the Ajax and 7' 5" for the Nelson. The Ajax was built by John Elsy and the Nelson was built by Brian Chambers of the Tynemouth MBC. The Nelson has won several awards including Harrogate and Blackpool. The Ajax is plank on frame construction with all of the fittings etc being scratch built. The Nelson is a fibre glass hull that Brian made his self and the rest is scratch built.
